Marvelous Ally Lightning Surge

Captain Marvel is probably my favorite champion and Leadership seems to fit her the best followed by Justice. This is a deck I have been tweaking for some time. It is still not perfect but it has smashed everyone but Ultron in expert mode. Lots of draw power, discounts, and allies allow Marvel to focus on the main villain while the rest focuses on threat and minions.

Since the Captain America and Ms. Marvel release, leadership in general has blossomed even more. Squirrel Girl, Wonder Man, and Falcon are wonderful additions to the allies. Squirrel Girl being one of my favorites for Ultron in general. As for general cards being added, Quinjet and Avengers Tower are key pieces to allow discounts and less resources to be used on allies. The more Marvel can put into herself, the better.

The deck is loaded with resources. Captain Marvel loves having energy between her own draw power, Energy Channel, and Photonic Blast. Vision also appreciates having this many resources. I've had instances where he has done 11 points of damage in one turn with his power, Lead from the Front, and Avengers Assemble!.

To fully optimize this, I could probably afford to drop Avengers Mansion and The Triskelion. It's very rare that I find myself needing more than 3 allies on the field. Most of the time, they are meat shields, minion control, or threat control. I also have enough draw power to afford dropping Mansion but it doesn't hurt having it in there just in case.

I could probably call this deck version 4. At one point, this deck was once at 46 cards. Before you say it, there was enough draw power for me to not worry about it. However, I found some cards not being utilized at all outside of basic resource payments. Previous iterations of this deck have included Enhanced Reflexes, Mockingbird, Strength In Numbers, and Endurance.

I have been impressed at what this deck has done. Some local players questioned it at first but became impressed at how much work it did in our games. I'm by no means a perfect metagamer however, this is as close as I will ever be. If you play this, I hope you enjoy it. I have had a "Photonic Blast" and will continue updating this as more leadership cards come out!
